I have only a vague idea how this bit torrent thing works. How likely is it that I'm downloading Terranova from more than one person?

    No one downloads me! auuuughhhhh!

    lol

Terra Nova - Strike Force Centauri, debut' sometime in 1995. Excellent Mech-warrior class of game and has a lot of System Shock resemblance. Some may even argue, like Crusader NO Remorse/NO Regret, that it is also in the same universe as System Shock.

My name is based off of that awesome title, as some of you know Which is weird cause Shock 1 is still my number one game after nearly a decade.

Pardon me for asking, but exactly what happens when you guys run BitTorrent to get SysShock1? I just get stuck with "connecting to peers" for hours and hours. I'm wondering if it's a lack of sources or some sort of connection problem i'm having.

    Lack of Sources, I'd say.

This is probably sounds stupid, but:

What is this? What should I do with this stuff???

    [edit]

Alright, it seems to me that I have got through it... But I have a few problems.
As far as I understood, the file I should download is ******.iso.bz2. ISO is probably is a kind of CD image or so (to burn my own cd), am I right? But what is 'bz2'?? Is it a name of the archive and will it be possible to unzip it with WinRAR?

The link to the daemon tools doesn't work for me.

And... Is it possible to play it WITHOUT burning a CD?

If this thing works, I'm going to shake your hands, guys!

    p.s. 70 hours of downloading!!!!!!!!

I don't know if winrar does .bz2 The new one might. I had to get UltimateZip to deal with a .bz2 recently (and it didn't seem to work, but the archive might have corrupted. I didn't get the file through bit torrent though).

hey, I was actually passing some of Terra Nova along for a while there. Weird.

I get to 90% ('bout 30hrs worth) and my computer crashes. I reconnect and start up the download again, following the instructions for resuming (in so far as they are clear, which they aren't). Bit torrent informs me it is 'scanning the partial file' for about a minute, then promptly starts the transfer over from scratch.
    Why do I bother?

Well, just download the torrent file (iso.bz2.torrent), and open it via Double-click. It should start the dl, and if you already have the file, save it at the same place, and it should continue that dl.

they're small because they're bit torrent.

This Bit Torrent doesn't even come with a .exe. How in the world am I supposed to use it?
