Just dropping by to say, "gimme gimme gimme"

    Hello forum,

I wasn't a member of this forum prior to downloading TCP, and I can't say that I'll be around often, but this seemed to be the only way to forward compliments to the people responsible for it.

This first installment really does glisten from all of the sweaty hours invested in fleshing out its details, from all of the snippets of text, to the dialogues, to the all sorts of stuff I can't continue to enumerate because I need to jump back into the game to see if there's anything I missed.

In any case, it was just very nice to once again drop into a game-world that was crafted with talent and focus. All I can say is, "please please please please oh god let there be more installments that was reeeeally fun I'll give you a kidney please please please".

    Thanks.

You know, when someone is so positive, I always assume they're being sarcastic.

Since when did I become so cynical, eh?

But this mod is BRILLIANT! The only way it could be more ACE is if there was more of it! That would be BRILLO!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but in real life (tm) adding a silencer to a weapon actually *decreases* accuracy. The silencer is generally screwed onto the end of the gun barrel, and as such won't line up perfectly with it. It's posible (as in this case) that it would have no effect on accuracy, but it's far more likely to decrease than increase it. The only advantage a silencer has is the vastly decreased noise output.

I would have thought a better way of doing tripwires would be to make them invisible. I mean, most laser tripwires in real life are mostly invisible unless you let off a smoke grenade or similar yes? (i'm going on films here, not personal experience). So maybe just have it so that either the X ray vision shows them up if you have it or that you have to notice and shoot out the beam emitters if you don't have the vision mod, and anything blocking the beams sets them off. Of course, that might not be possible using the DX engine, I don't know.

That would be nice. very very nice. Narcissus - is it possible?

Just wanted to add some extra comments -

The "cerebrality" (think 'celebrity') of this MOD is right up my street. Thanks for not making it a pure shooty shooty bang bang.

Stealth - part of the fun of stealth is that it is harder, adnit is ahem, more skillful. So it's not a porr option. Us stealthers like it that way, I'm sure. I go 2 steps further - only play on realistic and kill no-one. I'm a man of ethics. And I like it clean. I also like to imagine thier faces when they wake up and realiase they've been done over.

    "MORE MORE", shouted the masses.

I didn't get a basket.. my ball disappeared.

Great work, I love it. Only problem I had was with dialogue options not showing completely with my 800x600 or so resolution.
The nerve gas grenade is so neat. I just wish it'd spawn more gas clouds covering a greater area and not only spread horizontally(s?) but vertically as well.
A real WMD so to speak. (Maybe it already does some of it I didn't level the demolition skill...)
All the new weapons are fun.
    I love Debbie!

BTW, what is the significance of the pawns?

The two pawns. One floating in the mirror in the restroom, and the one floating in the armory, just by the firing range. When someone caught me shooting the former of the two, they immediately unloaded their weapons into me. When I shot at it from behind a stall door, I got away with it.

Sorry to be flooding, but I forgot something

Heh. Can you tell I've been up playing this?

I've got DX9.0a, an ATI Radeon 9500 pro, and with 4xAA, 4x Anisotropic Filtering on, I find that when about 15-20ft away from people, I can see straight through their clothes, or the layers of their skinning. In fact, I can see straight through Anna's mask, to the machine-like interior of her face (kudos for the level of detail there, unless it's just a glitch, in which case, kudos for something or other). I'm guessing the guards never get naked in the game, because they don't seem to reveal much at that distance.

Does that count as a bug, or "forgetchu and yer spanky hardware"?

    You shot at the prawns?

Honestly, for some people violence is the answer to everything.

that was the third time I played though, when I took the "If In Doubt, Blow It Up With A Grenade Launcher" solution to every problem.
I ran out of grenades pretty quickly mind you...

    yes indeed.
Remember children, always make sure to carry extra grenades, and a large, pointed-stick when going on a mission.

Could you guys please make the next installment more vulgar? I wanna see more comments like the horny guards! And...I wanna see some torture to defenseless animals.... and... ooh, I wanna see some little kids die! What? I'm a Phr3@k? oh well...

In response to the 'cerebrality' stuff... making the player think he or she is clever is good. More of that. Us players likes teh adulation.

I believe the silencer is integrated into the pistol, and thus lines up, increasing the barrel length, which I would think increases accuracy.

Fair enough. If it's integrated, i can see it improving accuracy I s'pose. Didn't look very integrated though. You sure they just didn't have an option to unscrew it from the barrel?

Anyone who worked on the mod? We asked to be enlightened.

    Sorry, it's Top Secret.

I could show you how it makes it more accurate but then I'd have to shoot you with it.
