    A Mother's Love

    That was really funny watching a Hammer repeatedly pound the Trickster character over the head, he was relentless! I was laughing.

    I could only spawn AI by using the

    spoiler:
    secret found on the 2nd floor


    The gems down below did nothing and I have all patches and scripts installed, I think. Also, the zombie body parts were white after they'd been killed.

    One of the upstairs triggers always spawned an AI right behind me in front of the double doors, but that AI (swordsman in black) always vanished after a couple of seconds.


    Anyone know exactly which script is needed for this FM to play right?

    First, it sounds like you may not have the latest scripts. But it also sounds like you may have downloaded the wrong version. Kfort released two versions, one for those who already have DEDx installed (mostly FM developers) and one for those without it - if some creatures aren't showing up and the zombie parts are white, it suggests you got the former but need the latter.

    The version I have I got from The Keep. Seems Cheap Thief Missions doesn't have it. Know where I can get the other version?

    I have had all the scripts available from the Keep installed for a long time. Are they the latest?

    I downloaded this FM again from The Circle, but it appears to be the same one from looking at the mission details.

    It appears Cheap Downloads doesn't have any of the contest 4 missions.

    The version and the scripts at the Keep are the right ones, dunno why you are having troubles
    The Keep for Thief 1 and 2 FMs, Shadowdark for Thief 3 and Dark Mod FMs

    Okay, I was able to get more to happen in this one. The custom scripts that I'd unzipped into the Thief II folder were put into their own folder, so I just moved them out of it and sh*tcanned the empty folder. However, two of the crystals down below still don't work (ones next to the entrance/exit) while two of them do. Also, the AI spawners

    hidden above all seem to work now.


    Zombie parts are still white though. Also noticed that the

    spoiler:
    chest hidden above the glass roof is sometimes not there.


    It's a shame this FM and the others like it are plagued by the resulting body count that the games engine can't handle. Would've been nice to have the bodies disappear like pieces of a broken crate or gibbed zombie.

    If I'm not mistaken, the author was going to work that into a revision, but I'm not sure she's had time (too much Thievery, eh kfort? )
