Yandros, you, you're maaad! What with all the FM's you're working on! Whatever you're taking, can i have some?![]()
After receiving German and French translations of this, my first FM, I started to just add them and re-release the mission as is... but I've learned so much about Dromed since 2002 that I decided to fix the bugs, tweak lighting, add some new textures and objects, reskin the AI, and add a small new area.... geez, why couldn't I have just left well enough alone...![]()
Anyway, as is Dromed's way, what should have been a weekend project has turned into three weeks of work... but I'm happy with the result. You can download it here. Thanks as usual, Jason!
Here's a blurb on the new changes from the readme:
Updates for Gold Version
1. Added German and French support. Thanks to Ramirez’ Old Fat Burrick
and flying_hope for their work.
2. Since the original way into the bank was so unrealistic, a small basement
area has been added. There just wasn’t room for it in the original due to the
size restriction… but that’s no longer a problem.
3. Made three difficulty levels instead of just one.
4. Reskinned the guards so they weren’t just bluecoats. I wanted to do this
in 2002 but didn’t know how back then. Badges? We don’t need no stinkin’
badges!
5. Retextured and relighted the fourth floor (thanks to Peter Smith for his
wonderful suggestions in this endeavor). Also worked with the lights in
elevator shafts so they weren’t always on.
6. Tweaked the timing of patrols a bit, and moved one guard to the new
basement area.
7. Changed the vault combination just for fun.
Betatesters for Gold Version
Peter Smith, Nightwalker, Jabberwocky and Dark Arrow – THANK YOU ALL!
Here are a few screens of the new basement area...

Thanks as always to Jason (epithumia).
I just downloaded it now. Yay!!![]()
I've been playing this for the last hour. I'm enjoying it but i am running around downstairs searching for the vault code! And all-of-a-sudden, i find something else hiding downstairs somewhere!
spoiler:(X marks the spot!)
Hey Yandros, i love that old Skeleton floating about! That gave me an idea to include in my undead FM.![]()
Glad you like Skellie... he was fun to do. Did youspoiler:see him the first two times as well?
And as for the vault combination, lookspoiler:in the teller's area, not the basement. Remember, Anya's note referring to her hiding place "downstairs" was in the original mission too, before there was a basement...
This was really fun Yandros. I have completed everything on expert except I'm short about 45 loot.
Alsospoiler:is there a way into the sewers?

John

John - no.![]()
excellent a new mission!
I am on the floor with the lift outside and i can't get up to the next level.
This is the floor with the security control room, all doors are locked and i can't find a key.
shadows -
spoiler:You obviously knocked out Gretchyn then, she patrols that floor (3rd). She had a key to the offices on the 2nd floor, use it to go explore those offices a bit.
Thanks Yandros, but i still can't get any further:
spoiler:I have explored the offices and i can see a tiny red button on the edge of the accountants desk, i can't seem to frob it, or i have frobbed it but there's no indication it has been frobbed, because nothing has happened
All you should need to do isspoiler:crouch next to the desk and lean forward to be able to frob it. When frobbed, the painting on the opposite wall should move aside, revealing some items.
Yes, mission complete.
leaning forward did the trick![]()
Damn fine remake . The basement area was especially well done , we got a real hoot out of the floating skeleton . The only thing - it was just too vexing not being able to get into the sewers or through those gates![]()
Nice update Yandros!!!
Too bad you can't get into the sewers. But I did manage to get over the wall!![]()
Yeah, I know that's possible.... I thought of putting invisible barriers up to prevent it, but decided not to bother. Besides, it means you get to see the surrounding area in all its incomplete glory if you're clever and adept enough to make it over the wall.![]()
I guess I need the ring, because I'm 80 short of the 2000 mark. Also, what is this about floating skulls? And a reference to an "X" in the basement? I saw no X anywhere, unless the reference is to a liquor bottle.
I thought your "over the wall" area was very detailed actually. Plus it was nice to knock out a few more guards! I also looked around for a hidden piece of loot or two but didn't find any!![]()
Yandros, loved the mission. I was over the wall, knocked out everyone there. Too bad there was no extra loot laying around.
Clock, if youspoiler:Also, I was 20 short in loot. I wish it was more to explore, like the sewers. Anyway, great mission.crouch down and walk towards the wall that has an x, you would be able to go through it.![]()
I still can't find any "X" anywhere.spoiler:Am I supposed to smash all those boxes to get to the "X" ?
I'm assuming when I eventually figure this thing out, there will be floating skulls to welcome me.
I found the "X" thoughspoiler:. No matter.it wasn't on a wall...it was on a lip to the floor
Still no floating skulls but I won't worry too much about that. The mission is complete.
i feel so tall!!!!!![]()
Clock, even if you missedspoiler:Skullie the first two times, you should have definitely seen and heard him when you fell through the floor in the secret area. Just as you land in that room, he comes over the waterfall in the sewer with an audible splash.
