Well. .After all that ranting about female objectification in this post, I figure it's time to tip the scales a little and bring about some male objectification. .

Yep, I've gone ahead and whipped up a scantilly-clad Garrett for y'all. .. and no, he's NOT wearing a speedo.
Actually, I originally did this entirely for Ardesco's benefit, who complained about the lack of nekked Garrett fanservice, so. .

ARDESCO!!! You better get over here and look at this, woman!

Don't worry, it's not full frontal, and actually pretty worksafe. .. I think.
Now let the inevitable barrage of angry homophobic comments begin. .

The opposite of female objectification is not male objectification, it's female empowerment... Legitimately, you should've done a strong female piece to show how you want female characters to appear.

But instead you played a game where winning by your given terms is impossible.

Darn, Beleg, I should have taken your cue and put more interperative smilies in my post. I wasn't trying to make any kind of empowerment statement, Jashin, I was just trying to poke fun at myself. Criminy.
This is just another piece of artwork I've done: no more, no less.
Besides, I already have done strong artwork showing how I want female characters to appear, anyway.

SWEET! My heart is all fluttery now!

Truly, well done! I dropped back in just to see what was going on. I guess I have pretty nice timing!

  11. #486
Good timing indeed! And no, that's the only version.
Believe it or not, it's not sexually arousing to me. .. I think it started out that way, but when I got to fine-tuning it and coloring it I was looking at it more as another piece of art, rather than a pin-up. . I mean, he's not engaging the viewer in any way and there's nothing inviting about his posture or expression.

It just takes one moment of carelessness with those frogbeasts...

  15. #490
Seriously, those frogbeasts, I tell ya. ..

No, I tried to strategically place his left leg as far forward as possible, but I guess it wasn't far enough. . .in any case, I haven't been to a nude male life drawing class in years and was uncertain of my ability to draw wang.

Who says you have to draw the whole *wang* as you put it. Entice, tease, draw just the slightest tip of his *wang*. I'd rather see that than full frontal. Garrett is a mystery, let him on some level remain so, but, a tease, would be nice.

Yeah, I don't think we'll be having tips, peeks, or other synonyms of wangs. It's bad enough that this thread constantly strives to contain more than my recommended daily allowance of poorly-drawn yaoi shit.

    MS Paint Viktoria

I tried to make the whole picture with MS Paint but when I should've started making the creaks on her skin, i decided that it would've been too frustrating, so I cheated by using a crappy graphics program. (Everything else is done with MS Paint except the creaks and image resizing.)

I think it's the first picture where she hasn't got an evil glare and demonic look.

*pokes the thread* Has no one come up with any new art recently? No one? We're drying up over here. I was starting to get addicted. *hides her own attempts at drawing Thief scenes* Need more art to drool over. . .I'm surprised we didn't see any more Christmas related ones. Or snow related ones. *wanders off wondering if ambushing the guards with snowballs would work*

Dunno if this one can be classified as Taffer art since the reason I made it was not to do something related to Thief but to study one of the possible Fiore-style unarmed parries. It's got a keeper guard from TDS in it, though, so it could be enough if you're desperate for something even remotely related to Thief. And can stand my crappy drawings.

On another related note, my sister got a Wacom tablet for christmas. I, of course, promptly nicked it the first chance I got. I've been practicing with that thing quite a lot and as soon as I get the hang of colouring properly, I'll try drawing something new. Most probably Thief-related
