He's a little bit more meanfaced than I always imagine Garrett (usually much more annoyed than mean) but still, GREAT job dude.

    Hey again,
Here is an old picture. Back when Garrett had a sword!! I hope the size of the picture fits this time, I'm not really familiar with forums.
    Thanks for your guys remarks.

The most striking thing about it is that it looks like an old scanned LG artwork.

No. That's just the special watercolour paper.

That's amazing, Traveller. I love the lighting, dark but soft.
His right hand looks a bit strange... does he have 5 or 6 fingers?

Traveller, don't post anything like that again, I've salivated enough onto my keyboard

5, though the protruding thingy right below the crossguard might cause some confusion

LuvLee, this is what Beleg and I are reminded of--original paintings that were used in the Thief movies, which were scanned in and animated in Photoshop:

I thought it was watercolor paper myself, it's just so close to a scanner's moiré effect. But the whole look of it is very classic. Cool but not painfully fancy and I want to see more like that.

Actually I didn't really doubt that you and Cůthalion were not able to recognise watercolour paper... but I had clicked on reply already... ^^"
Between Traveller's picture and the posted collage, jtr7, is still a big difference. Not only in paper use and/or scanner effects but also in style and technique. I really like Traveller's art but it does not exactly remind me of original Thief artwork...

Correct. We were just reminded of it.

It's one of those from the German game guides for TDP/TMA. I posted all new of these scans somewhere around on ttlg but I don't have the link right now.

    Edit: One for TDS.

Those are pictures of the original paintings used for the cutscenes, some are arranged in a collage. They came from a German manual strategy guide.

If you don't recognize them, you need to look at the T1/T2 cutscenes again!

LOL! I didn't knew that it was needed a manual for playing Thief. After all at that time there were no public Internet where to read some forum.

Anyway, great piece of collection! I think I will buy it shortly.

Comes from a time when they still took care to (almost) fully translate video games. Films had already suffered from anglicisation.
