T2 FM The Cell Next Door Mar.28/05

This is my first fan mission. It's small and quick, with maybe 15 minutes of gameplay. Here's the link:

Considering that this is a first mission, it is rather good.

Given the expertise Francine shows at TEG, I'm not surprised to hear that. I can't play this until I finish testing for Hipbreaker though...

...On that note I have some time off right now, until I get a list of what needs fixing. (BTW thank you Yandros ) I played through this level and enjoyed it. Like shadows said, "short and sweet."

Hiya Francine, seems like a nice small mission! But (and I know this is pretty sad), I'm already stuck...
    spoiler:
How do you get forward from the wine cellar/back alley bit, after escaping from the prison?

    Did you read
    spoiler:
the note from Jersak that said where he stashed the loot?

This was a very enjoyable small mission and an excellent first effort. I'll be looking forward to future missions with great anticipation.

After you get all the loot and the lockpicks and weapons where is the exit / end level?

Nevermind for some reason the note wasn't picked up at the first time.

Somehow I have a little trouble seeing Frank Mitchell as a female, but parents are handing out all kinds of names these days.

Well, happens to the best of us, I guess. Have pity...

I'm stuck too. I've broken out of jail, found the lockpicks, gotten the stashed loot, found the necklace in the sewer, opened two gates, gone into the chapel, found J---'s note, checked off two of the objectives (only the loot requirement left), gone into the two Hammerite rooms with loot -- and I'm still short on loot. I only have 374 out of 524, so I'm looking for another 150... what am I missing? Where should I look?

    Thanks,

    Dafydd

Thank you for this nice mission!

    spoiler:
have you read the note on the wall close to the dead guy (behind the chapel)? If you missed the chapel area, you have to go back to the prison area and look for stairs.

Dafydd: the only thing I can think of is
    spoiler:
something in the chapel. It's not hidden, but I missed it the first time.
    - but I only played on "skilled" so perhaps it's different on "ghost".

I don't understand how I missed that one the first time I was up there... Thanks...

Someone already mentioned the purse on the chapel pew, which is easy to overlook. Did you find the gold wine bottle lying in the remains of a second crate that is in the second part of the sewers that you access from the basement of the Broken Crate? (The sewer key is sitting on a shelf, by the way.)

Thanks, I was missing the purse and the bottle. Incidentally, I think on Expert you have to get 100% of the loot!

Finished (with all the loot) on a clean ghost. Say, Perfect Thief! I don't get many of those.

    pnowak:

Thank you. In responce to your question:

    spoiler:
That depends on which rope arrow you're talking about. On Lucky (Normal) difficulty, there's a rope arrow on the jailer's desk that you can use to get from the basement to the cells area if you don't want to turn on the elevator. On all dificulties, there's a rope arrow in a barrel in the basement of the Broken Barrel (where you find your loot stash) that you can use to get back out of there if you don't find the sewer key. Of course you can always use the arrows like broadheads to take out the Hammer guards if you want.

    Dafydd:

    If you loot the
    spoiler:
    sewers and Broken Barrel
    before you loot the
    spoiler:
    chapel
, you can complete the mission (on any difficulty) without getting all the loot.

    To everyone:

Thanks for playing it. Small, quick, and fun, with a variety of ways to get things done, was the design goal I had in mind. From the responses here, I think I accomplished that.

It's the feedback from the people on this forum that makes level design for Thief worth it. It's pretty cool to watch people enjoy something I created. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to experience that.
