I really enjoyed the architecture and custom textures.

    After I came out of
    spoiler:
the vault I saw that the scarecrow beast had been killed by the turret nearby.

HipBreaker I found all but the one secret you were talking about. Anyway I finished with enough loot.

The light casting gives a real awesome atmosphere.

Nice riddle for the vault code. It was unexpected and inspiring to crack.

    spoiler:
So what does the switch secret below the desk do?, in the room where you find the trapped scientist, nothing seemed to change?

    Thanks..
The ambient sound was turned way down on my machine, during play.

The music towards the observatory is creeping good!

    Great stuff HB!

Very nice mission so far. Light beams and dust motes. Two of my favorite effects. Thanks for all your hard work.

I say so far because I just stuck my head
    spoiler:
out of the sewer on the way back from that terrific mansion and I see all hell, so to speak, has broken loose.

I can't take anymore tonight. I'm going to bed and tomorrow I'll run Garrett home like a girlyman.

    Vault Key?

    spoiler:
I got the vault code and the doors opened but the vault needs a special key....who has it? I've been all over the mansion, I think and I can't find it.
    Thanks.

Okay, all you need to do is:

    spoiler:
The table in the room has a button connected to one of it's legs. This button opens the door.

Great mission. The ambient in the mansion was the best I've heard so far in a FM, oh, and how you lighted the place! The lightshafts were wonderful. And all those little details, the little room next to the dining hall was... Mjam! Sweet, sweet mission...

    Insurrection

    I have finally got the
    [SPOILER]
    spoiler:
key to the Observatory but can't seem to get past the haunts that are blocking the entrance. Maybe I'm just a lousy taffer, but I've tried for ages and just keep getting killed... I have no fire arrows or other weapons left - just my sword. Anybody got any good hints for surviving into the actual observatory?

This is a terrific mission - well done! Really enjoying it.
    Thanks

Did you read the red book on the scientist's desk?

    Observatory?

    spoiler:
I've made it into the observatory, up the stairs to the room with the bad guys. Do I have to kill him or just grab something with the information? All the notes don't have anything on them. What happens here????? I only have a speed potion left so I need to do it fast and get out.
    Thanks.

    spoiler:
As long as you have read the scientist's journal and gotten the new objectives, you should be able to just either kill him, then grab the evidence, or if you want/can run past him and grab it and run. The evidence is on the desk behind him.

    Dazed and confused....

All right, I was in the north wing and got the key and some loot; now I return to the south wing... and a new guard has spawned in the dining room -- and he has spawned already alerted. He's wandering around with his sword raised, searching; but I know I didn't alert him, because when I left, there was only the one patroller -- and he's still unalerted.

But I've sat outside in the shadows, watching him for four full minutes now, and he's not calming down. What's up with that? It makes it awfully tough to ghost when there are alerted guards materializing hither and yon!

Did I mess something up? I had a similar problem in the music room: I was in there, ghosted through, and left; but when I came back later, as I was quietly skulking down the stairs in the shadows -- not even visible yet to anyone in the room -- the gray-haired old bat came running up the stairway, screaming. I know I didn't alert her... but what did?

    Weird.

My taffing skills have sunk to new low.
    spoiler:
Nobody else seems to have had problems finding the observatory!!!! It is marked on the map in the far north but I can't find it in the mansion. I have knocked out all the guards and only have 2 bots patolling the music room but even with a free range I still can't see it. Is it near where you find the lord or the attic? I also can't find the combination to the vault. I have all the keys I need but where is the note stating what the code is?
