Need a no CD patch for UT...

    Uhhhh...
Sorry if I posted this thread in the wrong area, but where can I find a no CD patch for Unreal Tournament? My CD was completly scraped up in my old 56X CD ROM drive.

The original UT has an integrated no-CD patch in one of the later game patches... So does 2k4, iirc.

Have a look at www.unrealtournament.com or something and patch your game up to the most recent version. That ought to do it.

However, you will still need the CD to install the patch. This is not the case for UT2k3/4 however.

Darn it! The update doesn't want to work for me. I guess it's the wrong version. My version is 4.28. Well, I did get around it, though. Luckily, my brother had the same version. All I had to do was use his to install it, and then use mine to play it. When I was trying to install with my CD, it quit working right at the texture folder. I curse that old 56x CD drive. That drive was great when it was working. A couple of days after it scraped a few of my CDs and died, I was watching this show called Myth Busters. I turns out that if a CD drive runs a CD fast enough, the CD will eventually shatter.
    Good my CDs didn't.
