    T2X Review by Gingerbread Man

As the link on TTLG's main page [EDIT]didn't work[/EDIT], and as some of us access the forums directly without checking the main page, I thought i could post here the link for GBM's promising review. It has exclusive screenshots and after reading the review, I must say I can't wait to play T2X.

    Link works now.
I was under the impression that we'd registered Thief-TheCricle and had moved all our Thief stuff over there.

AND he managed to completely destroy the layout of the hub!
Someone should keep him away from computers. Does anyone have any coffee with which to distract him?

Only if you talk dirty to it.

Great review, Geebs. A couple of those screenshots make me all wiggly.

If you wanted someone complacent, you should have hit them harder in the first place.

I was privileged enough to be included in the final betatesting of T2X this last week so I've been through it once and I totally, absolutely agree with GBM's assessment. It rocks! It drew me in much more than T3 ever did and I'm starting on my second time through, still full of enthusiasm to explore every nook and cranny. I can guarantee you all, you will NOT be disappointed. It was more than worth the wait.

Shiny things usually work, or beer... if all else fails show him your tits.

I've been playing (testing, but mostly playing) T2X for the past week (only stopping to have BOTH my hard drives develop "issues" requiring full reformatting and scrambling to recover data... GRRR). And it is, hands-down the BEST Thief I have ever played... at times it's so beautiful and detailed and engrossing that I simply want to cry... THIS is what I became a gamer for!!

You T2X guys... YOU ARE AWESOME!! (except for Avalon... okay he's awesome too)

    IS IT DARK YET????

I totally agree with the review GBM. Having played RC1 and RC3, I have to say that T2X is certainly a true successor to the original Thief series. I'm happy with it in every way. Not once in Deadly Shadows was I able to feel the same level of immersion I found in T2X. I would get lost in it for hours. My wife must have been worried, as I would come to bed at 4am after a long play through. There were no interuptions to break me out of the world. No silly loot glimmer, no blue trails and no foggy portals...just a continuous level.

I will be playing the final release from beginning to end.

So far, nothing short of a Masterpiece w/Dromed here: the Videos are AMAZING, the textures and objects as well, and just some flat out beautiful level design!

Wow, T2X team - I had no idea it would be this amazing...way to go all!

I also love the lil wheel-a-spinnin at the load up screen!!

OK - now back to the game.......

I'm so excited. I'm so excited. I just woke up and read this and I'm downloading and there's 22 mins. left. I can't believe it. *stops the babbling*

Wonderful review, GBM... I'm all fired up now!

Wynne, when you're playing. Let me know if you eventually forget that it's your voice. I'm now totally oblivious to the characters I voiced. They're just ingame characters to me now.
