Such a nice place! Hope to see more peeps joining
There is now a Discord server dedicated to Dromed, kind of like hanging out here except it's real-time chat. We already have over 50 members, most of them being the same folks who frequent here, so we invite all who haven't joined yet to come do so! You can share screenshots and ask technical as well as aesthetic and gameplay design questions, and get answers quickly. Please also note the rules, which are to avoid any off-topic posting or personal attacks, so in other words basically the same way we mostly behave here in The Editor's Guild. I hope to see everyone there.

If you're wondering why this forum seems very inactive these days... it's because most of us are over on Discord discussing Dromed and the Thief universe in general. Come join us!
Just joined! I'll see you guys there!
It keeps thinking I'm not human. Can't seem to complete verification process via e-mail OR phone number
Have you considered that maybe it’s right…?
But as an actual suggestion, have you tried using a different browser (if you’re using on a computer)? I’ve been having issues lately with chrome getting stuck in captcha cycles.
When I click on the link above, it takes me to a Discord page and shows an invite from KuroNeko. I can go to Discord directly and sign in though.
That invite should be correct - KuroNeko runs the server.
Ok when I clicked on the button Discord says it doesn't work. I'm in Discord already anyway so that might be the issue.
I have mixed feelings about the Discord server. It's handy for a quick chat, and it's very easy to just paste in a screenshot. On the other hand, it's not so good when it comes to discussing actual things, like tips on reducing cell count, or scripted events etc, because we can end up with comments about two different topics all mixed together, and they can become very spread out over time.
It's also made this forum even quieter than normal, which is a shame as I still think message boards are the best way to discuss subjects.
I completly agree with RSoul.
I miss the good old days here.
Whenever I need answers TEG is my go to site, but with beta testing I think a discussion is easier if it is live and responses appear as they are sent.
I like the real time chat on Discord but still spend more time on TTLG because it has a post count and I haven't given up on getting my numbers higher.
I found a feature on this site that supposed to give you post notifications immediately but doesn't seem to work. The email notification setting works great but that is slow and cumbersome. TTLG would be better with a few upgrades that I am totally incapable of performing.
It is disappointing to post in multiple threads on here only to see several days later there are no other responses. This problem reminds me of volunteering for organizations that only have old people in them. They pine for the old days and such a huge age gap has been created that younger people are scared away because of the icky old people and nobody in ages in between. Did we do this to ourselves?
It works for me in general but not consistently (assuming we're talking TTLG, not Discord).
Where i can download the last version of Dromed basic Toolkit? I can edit AI with this Tool?
What do you mean can you edit AI?
You want to build new AI meshes? You want to change AI behavior?
Hey, Yandros. I went over there to Discord, and found it to be a very confusing place for me. Here, I simply search for the subject matter or person's posts I want to see - but over there, it's like trying to find the queue at an airport in India!. Man, live conversation is cool, but not the best for information gathering when so many are talking or chatting all at once. I hope this site won't be going down just as I getting started up again in DromEd.
Same!
...
Hey redleaf!
Yeah, Discord can take some getting used to, but even then it's a place to ask for answers from live people, not search for them. Searching for anything on Discord is, well, not its strong suit. This is still the best place by far to search for answers to Dromed questions if that's what you're wanting to do, and the 20+ years of knowledge here isn't going anywhere.
I think the Discord chat would benefit from a system where the user has to type some sort of (very short) summary of what they want to discuss, maybe even just the general subject, along with another input field where the question or comment is written in more detail. Once the user is happy with what they have, they can submit these things to be listed. In order to help other poeple see things that interest them, or what they think they could contribute to, only the summaries would be listed, expanding to show the rest of the content when clicked on. Users wanting to add their own comments will be free to do so, but it would all be kept within this secondary window/page. This would allow the discussion to remain focussed. When the user has finished viewing this list of related comments, they can go back to the main list of discussion summaries and see if there's anything else they'd like to read (or start their own).
Furthermore, if someone adds a comment to one of these topics, it would be best to then move the whole thing to the top of the page so that people can see that it's been updated. This would be especially useful after a long time has passed: Another person may need assistance related to this subject, or may have had some insight that's worth drawing attention to. Having the chat comments sorted into subjects would also make it easier to use a search function which could give the user the option of viewing just the subjects that match the search terms, or snippes of the general comments within (like a preview).
With the main screen only showing the summaries, the more popular topics will remain prominent without crowding out other discussions which were started around the same time.
What do you think? Could it work or would it be impractical to hide all the comments?

Whew! Thanks for that, Yandros! lad this isn't going away. Teaching someone how to create a mission this afternoon, and he'll need this place, too.
I can't even get into Discord. It keeps asking me if I'm human in a loop! I'm sick of identifying bears and dogs and things. The one time I did manage to get in, I coudn't find any Dromed group.
